Leadership

Mark GroenheideChief Executive Officer & President

As CEO and President of LIRG™, he leads the firm’s strategic direction with a focus on delivering solutions for complex and underserved risks.

He has held underwriting and leadership roles at Acadia Insurance Company, Zurich North America, and HDI Global, where he specialized in inland and ocean marine, engineering lines, and construction casualty. Mark later served as President of CGA Insurance Services, where he led the wholesale brokerage division, launched a successful MGU writing commercial property on behalf of PICC, and built an in-house risk engineering practice.

After CGA, he joined New Paradigm Underwriters, a firm focused on structured and parametric solutions. Its assets were acquired by NormanMax Insurance Holdings, where Mark became Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer. At NormanMax, he led the formation of NormanMax Syndicate 3939, the first parametric-only syndicate at Lloyd’s of London. Under his leadership, the firm delivered global natural catastrophe reinsurance solutions using transparent, trigger-based structures.

At LIRG™, Mark leads a team committed to rethinking how risk is measured, managed, and transferred through a model that integrates technical discipline with innovative insurance strategies.

Mark Groenheide brings more than two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance across underwriting, brokerage, program development, and executive leadership.

Lawrence Lipman Co-Founder

Lawrence Lipman is Co-Founder of LIRG™ and a licensed insurance broker with more than 40 years of experience in insurance, private equity, and platform development. He began his career in brokerage and went on to lead and advise firms in the insurance, specialty finance, and high-growth investment sectors.

He has held senior roles at Lipman Insurance Administrators Inc., USI, and Zenefits. Lawrence has also worked closely with startups, MGA/MGUs, and insurance platforms such as SafetyWing, OysterHR, WithFaye, and TrustLayer.io. His work has focused on aligning business models with capital strategy, scalable operations, and long-term growth objectives across the insurance and insurtech landscape.

At LIRG™, Lawrence provides consulting to clients and partners, is a licensed broker, and oversees platform development and strategic partnerships. His leadership supports the firm’s alignment with the broader mission of Algorithmic Insurance Services, Inc. and helps position LIRG™ at the forefront of the next generation of insurance distribution.

Steven Griswold Chief Operating Officer

Steven Griswold brings more than two decades of insurance, risk management, and leadership experience to his role as Chief Operating Officer of LIRG™. Before joining the company, Steven was president of a boutique retail brokerage, founded and led a fractional risk consultancy, and most recently directed enterprise-wide insurance and risk strategy for a $1B agribusiness.

In his new capacity at LIRG™, Steven is responsible for scaling operations, optimizing internal systems, and driving alignment across underwriting, technology, capital, and client service. His vision is to build infrastructure capable of keeping pace with LIRG’s™ ambition: agile, data-driven, and client-centric. Steven’s deep technical knowledge of insurance operations is augmented by his ability to lead teams through complexity and change.

Steven is known for his people-first leadership style, balancing operational efficiency with ethical stewardship. His commitment to building a high-performance culture is rooted in trust, transparency, and accountability. He holds a bachelor’s degree from USC and maintains multiple industry credentials including CPCU, ARM, AIDA, and AIS.

Salvador Garcia Chief Revenue Officer

Salvador Garcia has joined LIRG™ as Chief Revenue Officer, supporting entrepreneurs in their journey to develop and launch MGUs. In this role, he works closely with founders and underwriting teams to bring new managing general underwriting platforms to market, driving growth and building strategic distribution partnerships.

With a strong track record in sales leadership and client development, Salvador brings deep expertise in building distribution strategies that support early-stage and scaling MGUs. His approach emphasizes long-term partnership, thoughtful market alignment, and a deep understanding of the complex exposures faced by affluent households and commercial enterprises. He plays a key role in helping entrepreneurial teams translate innovative risk concepts into viable, well-distributed insurance programs that deliver durable protection and sustainable growth.

Salvador attended Arizona State University and has built his career at the intersection of sales, insurance, and client service.

Kurt Dinkelacker Chief Financial Officer

Kurt Dinkelacker is an accomplished finance executive with more than two decades of leadership experience guiding organizations through complex transformations, turnarounds, and growth initiatives. As CFO, he brings a proven track record of driving profitability, executing strategic M&A, and strengthening financial infrastructure across diverse industries.

Prior to joining LIRG™, Kurt served as EVP and CFO of Aptuit LLC, where he led the company from insolvency to a $300M valuation through disciplined cost management, successful divestitures, and a major strategic transaction. Earlier, at Retrievex Inc., he oversaw 20 acquisitions and secured a $50 million credit facility that fueled rapid expansion. In 2018, he founded Dinkelacker Consulting LLC, providing virtual CFO support to start-ups and emerging companies in biotech and consumer products, including Vitamin Energy, Endosome Therapeutics, and VasoCardea.

Kurt’s expertise spans financial strategy, reporting, treasury management, and capital structuring. He is recognized for his ability to align financial performance with business goals, resolve legacy challenges, and deliver sustainable results in both private equity–backed and entrepreneurial environments.

Jenny Borden Controller

Jenny brings over 20 years of finance and accounting experience, specializing in commissions, reporting, and financial operations. She currently serves as Controller on a consulting basis, supporting LIRG™ in building out its finance function and reporting infrastructure.

In addition, Jenny works as Corporate Accountant for a wealth management firm and as Billing and Collections Manager for a consumer products company, where she leads reporting, reconciliations, and collections.

Known for her attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and ability to simplify complex processes into clear, actionable reporting, Jenny helps organizations gain clarity and confidence in their numbers. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, caring for her animals, and spending time with her husband on their rural homestead.

Nick LamparelliChief Program Officer

Nick Lamparelli brings nearly three decades of insurance experience spanning traditional brokerage, catastrophe analytics, and insurtech innovation to his role as Chief Program Officer at LIRG™.

He began his career in personal and commercial lines at a regional agency before advancing to middle-market commercial insurance at Aon. Nick transitioned to catastrophe modeling and analytics at AIR Worldwide, later applying this expertise as a catastrophe executive at Marsh McLennan and QBE.

In 2017, Nick co-founded reThought Insurance, an insurtech MGA that pioneered the use of advanced modeling to underwrite flood risk in previously uninsurable markets. As Chief Underwriting Officer and later Chief Innovation Officer, he led the development of data-driven underwriting frameworks that challenged conventional approaches to flood coverage. He later became Managing Partner of Insurance Nerds, an industry content and media company.

At LIRG™, Nick is responsible for evaluating and supporting innovative insurance programs, working directly with MGAs, underwriting teams, and capacity providers to bring new solutions to market. His role centers on underwriting the underwriters—assessing program structure, risk selection, and operational readiness to ensure sustainable growth and sound risk transfer. Nick's unique combination of technical modeling expertise, program development experience, and innovation leadership positions him to identify and support the next generation of insurance solutions.

Francesca FinucaneChief of Staff

Francesca Finucane brings a strong foundation in specialty and parametric insurance, broker relations, and program development to her role as Chief of Staff at LIRG™.

She began her career as a specialty underwriter at GuideOne Insurance, where she focused on E&S Property and developed a technical grounding in complex, hard-to-place risks. Drawn to emerging insurance structures, she transitioned to New Paradigm Underwriters, a firm at the forefront of parametric solutions, deepening her expertise in trigger-based risk transfer and the operational nuances that separate innovative programs from traditional ones.

When New Paradigm's assets were acquired by NormanMax Insurance Holdings, Francesca stepped into a leadership role central to one of the industry's most consequential launches: NormanMax Syndicate 3939 at Lloyd's of London, the first parametric-only syndicate in Lloyd's history. As Vice President of Relationship & Business Development, she was instrumental in building the broker networks and client relationships that brought the syndicate to market and positioned it for growth.

At LIRG™, Francesca serves as a connective force across the organization. She oversees both non-parametric and traditional underwriting programs while leading broker engagement and key relationship initiatives. Her ability to bridge technical underwriting knowledge with relationship-driven execution makes her a trusted partner internally and externally. Known for her collaborative leadership style, Francesca is focused on building the culture and operational rhythm that will support LIRG's™ next phase of growth.
