Mark Groenheide brings more than two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance across underwriting, brokerage, program development, and executive leadership.
As CEO and President of LIRG, he leads the firm’s strategic direction with a focus on delivering solutions for complex and underserved risks.
He has held underwriting and leadership roles at Acadia Insurance Company, Zurich North America, and HDI Global, where he specialized in inland and ocean marine, engineering lines, and construction casualty. Mark later served as President of CGA Insurance Services, where he led the wholesale brokerage division, launched a successful MGU writing commercial property on behalf of PICC, and built an in-house risk engineering practice.
After CGA, he joined New Paradigm Underwriters, a firm focused on structured and parametric solutions. Its assets were acquired by NormanMax Insurance Holdings, where Mark became Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer. At NormanMax, he led the formation of NormanMax Syndicate 3939, the first parametric-only syndicate at Lloyd’s of London. Under his leadership, the firm delivered global natural catastrophe reinsurance solutions using transparent, trigger-based structures.
